Why do sports writers like Steve Chapman talk like we’re still living in the 1960’s, when Blacks were the only significant population of people of color?
Does he not see all the prosperous non-White immigrants who have been chasing and attaining the American dream over the past 50 years?
Does he think that White Americans are trying to oppress one specific subset of non-White minorities, while allowing many others to prosper?
Does he not realize that a White bigot who would use the N word, would be just as likely to use an equally ugly slur to describe someone from East Asia? Yet while dysfunctional Blacks in the inner cities are killing each other, Chinese, Korean, and Indian immigrants are buying houses in the suburbs and sending their kids to top colleges.
So why does bigotry keep some people down, but not others? Because it’s a lie. Bigotry doesn’t keep people down, people keep themselves down. Just ask the Jews. They’ve always done well for themselves, but were still hated. There’s absolutely no connection between bigotry and prosperity.
If I go to a restaurant and a waiter comes up to me wearing a button that says “I don’t serve pigs” and has a picture of a pig in a police uniform, I get up from my seat and go find another restaurant.
Now football ticket prices are astronomical, and I have to sit there and listen to millionaire wife beaters say that America is full of racist murderers. While they are spitting on the flag. I don’t think so. If owners think that sells tickets they can go scratch their ass.

And rightly so. But “protesting” against patriotism is no way to make me think more about that; in fact what it does is make me remember the letter I got from the state college I got some information from once. Along with the course catalog they sent a notification that I could get special treatment if I was a woman, a black, and Indian . . . just about anything but a white man.

The bait and switch. I have no problem with blacks engaging in peaceful protests. But BLM is nothing of the sort. They want the 'right' to loot, be criminal and agitate for change by brute force and intimidation.
And Kapernick wearing a Che t-shirt shows he is less about BLM and more about being a hard-core leftist. The NFL has shown that conservative points of view from players are verboten, but liberal points of view are fine. They are dissing the bulk of their paying fans, and you do not stay in business very long doing that.
Just today, a lib friend of mine posted a list of blacks shot by cops who were not convicted as a rationale for the NFL protests. It included Michael Brown - whose shooting was determined as justified by Holder's Justice Department. And Trayvon, who was not even shot by a cop, but by a civilian in legal self-defense. As long as BLM and their allies continue to push that kind of crap, where they refuse to self-correct, I will continue to dismiss their complaints.

But these millionaire players are playing in stadiums subsidized by hardworking whites AND blacks. Protest on Mondays in front of your owner’s house. He’s got the money to help make changes and he’s making it off the taxpayers’ backs.
In fact, a poll should be taken in each of the 32 NFL cities. Whatever percentage does not agree with the protests, that percentage should be deducted from the tax breaks.

I think it has to do with all those many white casualties who’s names make up the vast and overwhelming majority of the dead listed on all our War Memorials, from the Revolution through Vietnam and beyond. As are the vast majority of grievously wounded and crippled, both physically and mentally, fighting for our freedoms, the freedom of others, that flag, and that anthem. A huge casualty statistic and part of a white privilege that no other race really wants to claim for themselves or for their children. But those darn white people insist on remembering and honoring them. Go figure.

The question itself is based upon the belief that all “People of Color” automatically support protests against the National Anthem. They do not!
The statement itself is racist. That is, unless you believe that “People of Color” cannot be racist (the Socialist chant). So any statement or question demonizing people considered “White” is legitimate in their eyes, and not racist.
Being an “America Mutt”, who has ancestors who are mainly European in origin, yet with Native American, and African lines, I find it very derogatory and offensive that the color of my skin, is somehow or other the sole reason that I would not support such protests.
I don’t support the NFL or any individual, or group that demeans my country, my republic, or my faith. The national anthem and flag are symbols of the greatest country that has ever existed in the history of mankind. A nation whose founding principles stood and stand far above the rest of the world, not only when our republic was founded, but currently also.
My being white has nothing to do with my opposition to these spoiled millionaire brats!
I oppose their disrespect because I AM AN AMERICAN!
