The following is an account from his first tour in Afgahnistan:

As the elder began to explain, Villanueva and his troops were ambushed by as many as eight Taliban militants in a spray of bullets.

Spc. Martin Piggott was shot in the kneecap. Sgt. Roy Dutton was shot in the back of the leg. Army Pvt. 1st Class Jesse Dietrich was shot near the armpit. Under heavy fire, Villanueva pulled the wounded Dietrich down an alley and into a second mosque, where a medic took over. Villanueva returned to fight, but when he came back to check on the injured soldiers, the medic told him they needed to move the wounded to a safer location. Carrying Piggott on his shoulders, Villanueva took the three to a nearby school, where they waited for a helicopter that would transport the wounded to the city of Kandahar.

“Help me, sir,” Dietrich cried to Villanueva.

“He was pretty scared,” Villanueva said. “He kept asking for help.”
The following is an account from his first tour in Afgahnistan:

By the time Villanueva lifted Dietrich onto the helicopter, his eyes were purple. He died a short time later.

“As the platoon leader, I feel responsible for everything my platoon does or fails to do,” Villanueva said. “I failed to keep Jesse Dietrich safe, and you know, it was just tough. … I keep thinking of other ways I would have done it, but it was a very tough mission and the enemy beat us that day. It was just a really bad night.”

Just because the situation wasn’t ridiculous enough. A pox on all their houses.

First, this argument is not about respect for the flag, anthem or nation; it’s a whine from the left that the President has a bigger pulpit and that isn’t fair to the chosen children.
Second, President Trump didn’t give up his First Amendment rights when he became President.
The left certainly supported the previous president when he demagogued and targeted the police. He even attacked citizens for defending themselves. All that time, the left agreed and said it was good. When the bully pulpit is not your friend, is it the message or the messenger?

If the owner of the Steelers wants to perpetuate the BLM myth that America’s police are racist murderers then he can go scratch his ass.

One of the things I learned from supporting W during his years in office was to no longer trust any public figure completely anymore and that includes the current President. I support Trump but only so far as his usefulness goes to promoting the right policies. So far so good and I hope things continue on as best they can but I will no longer feel the level of betrayal the Bush gang has inflicted on our side anymore. W and his family have made me very wary.

It’s a sure thing the bruthahs on the team, not to mention the AA coach, are intimidating the guy. Still, I wish he hadn’t made these remarks.

They are his teammates until he or they go to another team. It’s not exactly a long relationship. Furthermore, the team, the coach and the owner should respect the American flag and the national anthem, and not the whims of some foolish players.
