Hell, if they’d cut the trillion dollars and all mandates and all taxes out of Ocare, I’d support it.

"Rue Paul’s no vote will guarantee Obamacare stays."

That's a silly take.

I thank the Father in Heaven we have a man left in the Senate.

Paul is right. It's not even close.

Many are being seduced by the snake simply because it lisps the magic phrase 'block grants'.

By why on earth would any Freedom-loving folks think we need to essentially keep Ocare regulations coming out of and funding coming to the central swamp. And then the part which survives being drain off by this juicer of a government will get redistributed back to states for them to create programs based on Uncle Sam's funding formula.

For crying out loud, if you believe states are better and managing their own affairs (they are) then why all the middle-man nonsense.

We own the WH, the Senate, the House, the stathouses and governors. Do the right thing, dagnabit. Devolve the power.

Don't compromise, DE-CENTALIZE!

Rand Paul is the last man standing in the Senate.

He is the Villanueva on the Hill.

The rest of the GOP is in the lavishly lobbyist-sponsored locker room. Avoiding respect for America, just like the cool kids of the NFL.

You can rant all you want if it makes u feel better.

Once again, the votes are not there to repeal.

Elect more conservative senators and that could change.

As for now, Rue Paul’s no vote will insure Obamacare continues.

“As for now, Rue Paul’s no vote will insure Obamacare continues.”

You can choose that perspective if it makes u feel better.

But it does not make me feel like codifying the Liberal’s afterbirth known as Obamacare into the increased role of unconstitutional central planning known as Republicare.

It’s OK for you to desire these awful results.

But it is illogical to blame a Freedom guy like Paul for Obamacare. He never voted for it and he wants to do the right thing and repeal it.

Just because the rest of the kneeling Republicans and their faux federalism plan don’t fool or bully Paul, that does not make him responsible for a dying Dem program.

I see it as 30% better than Obamacare.
Not a perfect bill but a start.
Since at the moment, there are not
enough votes to repeal, no matter
how much folks whine and rant
it is a start away from Obamacare.

However, Rue Paul’s no vote
will continue Obamacare.

“I see it as 30% better than Obamacare.”

So, the price of the Republican soul is a 30% discount on a used hari kari knife?

We can do better.

In fact, we have done increasingly better... each time the valiant few (HFC, Paul, etc) have saved us from the inglorious many party kneelers, the next evolution of the bill has been better.

Despite all the whining, ranting, kneeling and dealing, it is the purist getting us closer to acceptable outcomes, definitely not the sky-is-falling / compromise-now crowd.

For example, as flawed as is the current bill might be, it is far more than 30% improved over Trump/RyanCare 1.0. And despite the ‘good start’ mentality there is zero chance that if it had passed, then it would have improved to what Graham is selling today. Zero. It is not fear and settling which improved things. It was lonely but powerful adherence to principle.

The reason America continues to slide toward the Left is because when given the chance they leap forward another mile toward centralization and later knee-bound Republicans faux-fight to reclaim an inch, then pee into the swamp and claim victory because it is warmer.

There is no way this bill can be considered ‘winning’ from Lady Liberty’s perspective.

Sure, maybe it will be 30% less poison for her to swallow per serving. But also a 100% increase in the number of major parties which will then have voted to keep the antidote locked in the history books.

Then enjoy Obamacare, which will lead to single payer.
Some improvement is better than none.

The votes to repeal are not there.

So it’s either Obamacare or something 30% better.
It appears full blown Obamacare is what we will continue to get.
Congrats to Paul.

“So it’s either Obamacare or something 30% better.”

Was this your position on Trump/Ryancare 1.0?

Because that was much, much worse. And the reason the latest bill is improved is because of folks who actually have a backbone.

Caving your way to a better bill rarely ever works.
