I too have neuropathy in both feet and ankles. On bad days it extends to my hips.
I was taking gabapentin to make it livable during the day and one oxycodone at night to let me get six hours of restful sleep.

New laws in Virginia have doctors dumping their pain patients to Pain Management specialists.

Medicare and my Humana policy do not cover Pain Management so I would have to pay $100 a visit every month plus the mandatory drug test every month.
Then the pain people tell you you are addicted to pain meds and drop your dosage until they refuse to prescribe it again.

They demand you take whatever placebo that is currently the “in” treatment.
All the while they deny you are feeling legitimate pain.

I went to the pain doc one time and told them to KMA.
I am epileptic so I got my neuro to up my gabapentin but can’t get real pain meds anymore.
I get an hour or so of sleep at a time.
I bet our elected betters can get whatever they want, the jackasses.

OMG!!!

I’m so sorry that they are F’ing You around like that Damned Bastards.

When somebody gives Me the “junkie/addiction/etc BS” I wish them the pleasure of living with what We have to.

Do You have the option of Moving to some place else ?

Yes, You are right- the scumbag politicians get all they want when they want w/o any B/S from the .gov docs. AND WE PAY FOR IT ALL TOO!!!

I just did some Rx shopping last week and Sam’s has been charging Me $129.00+ for 100 pain pills and being jerks about Me even taking them at all.

I contacted a Locally Owned Family Pharmacy in town and got the same Med for $131.89 for 240 Qty. !!! I saved enough to almost pay for a 30 day supply of all the 20 other Med’s and OTC Vitamins I take!!!

I NO LONGER DO BUSINESS WITH sam’s Rx.

Praying for some relief for You and some sort of help for Your whole situation.

Moving isn’t possible for me.
My mom is starting to really slow down and she depends on me for company and the heavy lifting when she needs something done. She has minor heart problems, some intestinal issues and scoliosis which is making her spine shift in different directions, plus hearing loss and some small memory problems.
With all that she is in pretty good health for a hard working lady in her eighties.
She insists on mowing her own lawn and planting and caring for her flowers and shrubs.
All in all a remarkable woman.

I used to get my prescriptions filled at Wal-Mart but when Kroger put pharmacies in the local stores I started using them.
The people are much nicer, they call me by name and the prices are low enough to make a big difference.

I think you and I have the same dream: no exemptions for elected officials. They need to live under the same rules we “little people” do. If that happened some things would change quickly.
