It is odd that a single “Wild” bison would show.

The only Sasquatches I’ve seen have been in villages with other Sasquatches. I’ve never seen one meandering around by itself for the occasional deep woods photo op.

For one to be found, there must be an existing population. Where have they been hiding out for 250 years?

The bison was less dangerous than the muzzies you’ve allowed to roam through your nation.

Whatta guy!

It must have been filmed early in the 3rd Reich, before he became grossly fat.

That’s been my experience, too. It must be only the young and wilder Sasquatches (and bison) that leave their family and roam about.

Really? They want them? We have so many here in Arizona that we are hiring shooters. I am sure arrangements can be made and these same “environmentalists” will pay the bill to have them sent to Germany. Heck, every other species is winding up in Germany.

“...probably a bull which had been running around the Ujscie Warty National Park on the German-Polish border for some time before wandering into the Bundesrepublik.”

See Germany and Die!

It might be the puberty ritual. It can be rough, from what I understand. Most of them are not prepared for the Seattle clubbing scene.

[[“After more than 250 years a wild bison had been spotted again in Germany and all the authorities could think to do is shoot it.”]]

Well duh! Of course they shot it- that way they can keep the buffalo on the endangered list-

Young Bison: See the world, take a few risks, settle down.

Sounds like the ticket.

Expect a headline along the lines of

“Tasmanian tiger spotted- then promptly shot by authorities” to keep the tigers on the extinct list- Can’t risk losing the list ya know

I generally don’t have much use for the WWF but I agree with them here. Why not just inform the public of the presence of the bison and tell people to stay clear of it? It is only a danger if you crowd it. It’s not like a bison will stalk people.

Correct me if I'm wrong and I may well be. I think the wisent is wild cattle from which domestic breeds descend.

Last wild one was killed in Poland by German troops in WWI.

The European Bison looks remarkably like it's American cousin.

“The bison are not known to be dangerous”

Certainly not. After all, a large European Bison bull is about the size of a well-grown Chihuahua. It’s not a huge wild animal with hooves and horns.

The original wild cattle was the Auroch, a differnt critter.

I didn't know they ever had bison in Europe, but here's one.
