Hillary said in her televised interview, she felt like making voodoo dolls of reporters and congress people, stick them with pins for the email scandal! I wonder if Quinn and Podesta gave her the idea,or maybe is an occupying herself.
She really is a witch, the first Presidential witch in history? Maybe she can conjure up a spell on Kim Jong UN

Where there is power, there is evil.
The greater the power, the greater the evil.
DC sounds like a huge unGodly coven.
Tagline.

Mary Todd Lincoln was also deeply involved in the occult.

Hillary though was likely our first practicing witch First Lady.

Interesting those saying this is ‘dress up game nonsense.’ If you believe in the power of God, you must believe in His Word. Bible makes it clear there are demons and Satan is an active agent in this world who wields power. These folks in DC certainly believe they’re actively involved in tapping into that demonic power and have seen evidence of it.

Satan’s greatest lie is to have us believe he doesn’t exist.

“Spirit Cooking” was dark arts under the guise of performance art. Podesta, her campaign manager, his brother, their associates are all involved in occultist practices. Certainly no ‘conspiracy theory’ that Hillary was as well.

Why are so many powerful people associated with the Occult?

Because they don't believe in God.

More power, fascination, entertainment as an escape from boredom. Spiritualism, table tipping, other forms was/were popular in England, France and possibly Russia in the past. I used to like to read about it but I have tried to cleanse myself of all of it. In my case, it was like I grew up with a Christianity where there were no miracles or healing power. People didn't even pray for others like many do now.

Look what happened to Russia as a result of some of it. A mad monk. Although I've been told that's just western smear. Helen Blavatsky, the founder of Theosophy which had many spinoffs, pure evil imo although I did go to a gathering about it downtown in a nice venue/hotel can't remember exactly, and the people who showed up were well-dressed, professional looking. I don't know why that even happened here really.

Now this voodoo stuff and curses; fortunately I wasn't curious about that, maybe a little and was to the extent of deliverance of people from them. But if you are badly informed, people can be taken unawares. Our local art gallery had an exhibit of voodoo flags, banners or something. They were really pretty, colorful, sewn with glittery sequins, guess they could be looked at as artistic. I marvelled at how they could make it attractive but by then I knew it was bad stuff. I think I went in a group outing and wouldn't have gone on my own.

Does occultism actually work? It seems like the answer is yes; If it is true tons of powerful people are occultists, and it looks as if many are.

I don't know for sure. I believe in it but don't want to dabble in it. Some of it is fake and some other explanations.

I heard of a curious incident years ago, involving a murdered person's friend having her appear to her, spontaneously as far as I know, in a dream while she slept next to her husband, and give her enough clues about some jewelry stolen at the time of her murder to solve it. It should be in the Chicago Police records but I never thought to look for court records and can't find a reference to it now.

But I don't think so many would practice it if they didn't get results. That Episcopalian bishop from San Francisco fell away into it when his son committed suicide. He was looking for communication from him in his grief. He ended up in a divorce, remarried, a trip to Israel where he wandered into the desert and died of thirst while his wife or girl friend had gone for help. There's a message in there somewhere.

His name was James Pike. You can look it up; it's just one of hundreds.

As to rich, famous, powerful, I have read many accounts but can't verify the accuracy. I don't know if spiritualism was born in America or what, but it involved two sisters in Vermont or New York who claimed to communicate with spirits who tipped tables.

Evidently divination for water works. I've read many accounts of people having the "gift". Also read of some priests or monks doing it in South America to find where to dig a well. The church didn't seem to condemn them but I don't know how they would handle it now.

I found one reference to the Chicago murder, a good one, the Chicago Tribune:

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/1996-04-22/features/9604220008_1_nurse-john-cosgrove-dead-woman

Says they've made a movie of it, didn't know that.

Chicago Murder Tale Is Retold

This is an April 1996 article, excerpt "The puzzling case of Teresita Basa was profiled on NBC's "Unsolved Mysteries" as part of the show's "The Unexplained" segment. Now it has become a two-hour movie. "From the Files of `Unsolved Mysteries': Voice From the Grave" premieres at 8 p.m. Monday."

Never saw where it involved calling up the spirit; you never know exactly how or why it happened as it did.

That would work if you actually “owned” your own Soul, but you don't. ALL Souls belong to God, good, bad, ugly, and indifferent, awaiting Judgment Day.

It is certainly an interesting subject, I find it interesting but wouldn’t dabble in it either.

I used to know a guy who had been a waiter at the Grove... He never mentioned anything untoward happening.

It stands to reason, given who goes there, that all employees would have to sign ironclad confidentiality agreements with harsh consequences for divulging anything of any significance.

I understand what you are saying but he was a nice chatty guy of average intelligence, he never mentioned a secrecy agreement and I really think he would have if he had to sign one. I didn’t ask a lot of questions because I wanted him to keep talking.

Apropos the discussion concerning DC elite and the occult, saw this authoress is scheduled next week on Coast to Coast. Thought you'd be interested in the timeliness of the subject which supports the main thesis of this thread.

And May God Bless You for not wanting to dabble in forbidden practices.

"A Spiritual and Personal Quest from the Heart of the Capital of Secular and Political Power: Washington, DC

"In this emotional, inviting, and illuminating memoir, Sally Quinn—journalist, television commentator, and longtime Washington insider—reveals the late-in-life discovery that her entire life could best be understood as a spiritual quest. Quinn takes us through the many stages of her spiritual awakening: summers spent as a child with her Scots Presbyterian family in the South, where she learned voodoo from the household staff; her trials as a hospitalized military child in Japan during the Korean war; her education at twenty-two different schools; her adventures as a Washington Post reporter; her short tenure"
