.
>> “Midair collision?” <<

Must have been.

The hog is a very nimble aircraft, hard to crash one.

The problem is...

The Tooling was destroyed.

We would have to start from scratch.

Is there a chart or graph of US military crashes?

I found this:

More likely a Weapons School mid-air, not a basic formation flight.

Formation flight is actually pretty easy and mid-air collisions from a formation flight are downright rare.

So. . .a Weapons School BFM-type of mission is likely the phase of flight that had the mid-air.

Weapons school missions are flown to max limits of the flight envelope, on the edge of its capabilities and dangerous.

Given my over 800hrs flying the A-10, I would say it was a Weapons School BFM profile. Just a guess for now.

We have been focused on the surface Navy but in the meantime military aviation continues to stack up crashes at a unacceptable rate.

Apparently this time no fatalities but there have been significant fatalities in several other recent cases.

I understand, "NOE" -- but would you translate "BFM", please?

Quite a few in storage they could rehabilitate.

Basic fighter maneuvers (BFM), not really “basic” but rehearsing air to air maneuvers and building on previous maneuvers and making them more and more advanced.

Then, lets get to it.

I am sick of our generations stagnation. The wall could be build in months. The moon could be achievable in a year or two. The A-10 could be built with upgrades within a year.

What the hay are we waiting on????
