Trump has always been a liar. Not just about immigration. About almost everything.
However, I voted for Trump because he was the only GOP candidate who had a chance to win, and because Trump would be less destructive than Hillary.
So, I am getting exactly what I expected.
And I’ll vote to reelect him in 2020 - for exactly the same reasons, and with exactly the same expectations.
” I would hope he possesses sufficient duty, honor and courage to keep his promise and enforce the law.” Very Well said.
With his 6 month delay, I think that is an incentive for congress to achieve a comprehensive immigration plan he can sign.
Course he holds the power of the veto pen.
It’s often pointed out....all of this DACA business goes back to 2001 era. It routinely got dragged out every other year and never passed. When the Democrats held the House, Senate and Presidency in 2009? It never passed. Same deal in 2010 and 2011....never passing. President Obama merely waved his hand, and acted like it passed but it never did.
All these folks have to do in DC is draft the law and pass it. They don’t have the numbers. I suspect that even a quarter of the Democrats aren’t that enthusiastic about the draft idea.
