Strange. Was it trying to ram the motorcade? Why was it in the woods? Why did no one spot it before it tried to come out?

I saw the other thread on this - I bet those women have had an “interesting” evening and their life histories are known to the Secret Service by now.
And the car’s probably had a good going over as well.

The article says the woman’s brakes failed as she was trying to exit some parking lot and she rolled through the trees and into the ditch. Weird timing, but I imagine the Secret Service has checked it out by now.

This is interesting. I had cut and pasted the article that is here. Apparently, they must have subsequently updated the report and talked about the brakes. Yes, I did read the article I posted prior to the update.

I wondered the same. As a side note, I should have finished the novel I began 17 years ago but lost in a computer crash. Someone could have been in a foxhole along the route and been able to hide from FLIR of the helicopters. Just some plywood over the foxhole/bunker and cover it with tinfoil. No heat signature detected from the Forward Looking InfraRed.

It happened in 2 seconds. A helicopter would have done little or nothing to prevent it in this case. However if Trump was indeed the target and they’d made it past the ditch, their vehicle would likely have been sawed in half by ground fire by the time it got close to the principal.
