“I have a looter mind set? Good grief!”
What would you call it? You walk into a store, don’t like the price, so you punch out the proprietor and walk out with the water. That’s what you outlined.
Hope they kept their receipts so they can return it for a refund after things calm down.
LOL. You get an aspect of what you are dealing with.
Mr. Superheterodyne, IF freak is proud of himself.
Whatever.
.
“Take your “economic principles” and sell them to these people”
How do you think this whole evacuation center was paid for? Do you think price controls yielded the tax revenue and/or charity that makes this possible?
Stop being stupid!
What would I call it? I call your comments ludicrous.
It’s only ludicrous to you because it’s so far over your head.
Profit leads to plenty. It’s not even arguable amongst the rational.
That has zip to do with this epic disaster. These people lost it all and are going through hell. Jacking up prices to those who’ve lost it all is bull shit.
I understand you have no issue doing that to them. That’s your choice. I understand your, “Profits regardless of consequences” mindset, even during historic disasters.
Your kind of thinking has been for hundreds of years. It’s nothing new.
They don’t have to lower the price to sell bulk. It is their choice. Also if they wanted to buy one all they have to do is go to the cooler at the front of the registers.
They did not raise the price of the water. It is sold at that price by the bottle every day.
Have you ever been to a retail store. They have little refrigerators by the registers wear they sell pop and water bottles. Specialty waters like Smart Water are $2 - $3 a piece. They are selling them for $2.49 each or 12 for $29.98. Regular Water is $1 - $2 a piece or more. They are selling it for $1.79 EA. or 24 for $42.96
They probably also sell Pepsi, Coke, Mountain Dew and every once in a while an RC Cola. They are also $2-$3 each. Even at the grocery store they are that much at the check bought individually
It is not gouging it is called retail pricing.
They sell them at the check-out because they know that’s where a lot of impulse purchases happen. Candy is there too, because they know kids will beg their parents to buy it for them if they see it.
You say there was no issues, no price gouging? OK. So why did Best Buy apologize?
We're not talking about the evacuation center jackass, our one on one conversation was based on his belief that it is OK to take advantage of a catastrophic event such as Henry and gouge the survivors who just may be lucky enough to have cash in their pockets for water...........
Follow the entire threadline then F off..............
Because perception is reality, especially today in the world of social media.
I see, so you’re suggesting this never happened at Best Buy.
Got it.
A Six Pack of FUJI Water is over $10 at the Grocery Store.
I think I should pay 1.99 for it.
Who do I complain to?
>>>So what if someone buys it all out? Thats capitalism too<<<
If they were worried about that, they could limit selling to one per customer.
I think a lot of people saw the $30 and assumed they were charging $30 for a single bottle of water.
So youre still suggesting this never happened at Best Buy.
Again, if they did nothing wrong, and it was not a “big mistake”, as Best Buy described it, why did they apologize?
.
Your virtue signaling would be amusing if it didn’t result in prolonging human misery.
Move over, let the adults talk about hard things like this.
Your way hurts people. Every. Time.
You couldn’t care less.
If anyone needs to F off its you.
