Been decades since I spent any time there, but Clovis would be WAY down the list of places in NM I would have figured that something like this would happen.

My sister lived there for a few years. She and her husband were in the AF reserves, he was a civilian contract engineer. She really liked the community and the school my niece and nephew went to. When my brother-in-law died after a two year battle with a brain tumor, the community was very supportive. She new some people who had lived all over the world and chose Clovis as the community they wanted to retire to. So I guess some people like it. Granted, this was over 20 years ago.
