Those groups were around under Obama.
I don’t think Antifa was as well funded.
Dems are using Antifa and BLM as their brown shirts. Both are well funded thugs.
I qualify it. I call it the "violent left." Whether it is Nazi, KKK, BLM, Antifa, Progressive, Communist, etc., it is merely showing different facets of the same malignant ideology.
So far, every Repuke Ive heard defending our side has failed miserably. They immediately go on the defensive. IOW, theyve capitulated and lost.
I really think there is a lot of Stockholm syndrome going on here. When a republican is elected and goes to DC, he or she is bombarded with abusive negativism from bullies in the media and on the Democrat side of the aisle. It is psychology: some profoundly mistreated people adopt the ideology and goals of those who abuse them. Patty Hearst, for example, went so far as to assist her captors to commit a bank robbery in the 1970s. Abused women typically blame themselves for being victims of abuse.
And so on.
The solution, I think, is to end the custom of having politicians move to DC. They should stay home, where they are near their constituents who will remind them every day of why they were elected, and provide some buffer between the politicians and the hostile, anti-American left.
The opposition media have absolutely no credibility to lose.
Let the bad guy win every once in a while.
Yes, the whole trick to the SA was not the few people they beat up or the few windows they broke.
It was the lesson to the watching, peaceful, compulsively law-abiding Germans that NOTHING HAPPENED TO THEM, whereas if Hans threw away his gum on the ground he would be dealing with the Orpo in ten seconds.
McAuliffe using AntiFa as his SA equivalent surprised me greatly (I am a naive and trusting soul). WaPo publishing a theoretical justification for it surprised me even more.
It appears that #ourguys learn fast, though. I can hear the drums, no longer so far away.
Occupy and BLM were both there. Occupy never said a word against Obama because they were a driving force for Obama. In fact many of the Antifa and Occupy people visited the Obama white house many times. Illinois Rep. Jan Schakowsky’s husband is a fund raiser and organizer of the group.
