Sources told TVE that the occupants of a white Ford Focus got out and fired at police before fleeing the scene.
Public broadcaster RTVE is reporting that a suspect has been arrested.
TV3 reports that a Spanish passport from a person of Moroccan origin was found at the scene of the attack.
