Eventually is already here too. Antifa, BLM, and other terrorist groups are already going after decent people who will not parrot back their talking points in the exact right words.
The reflex to destroy vestiges of the past is triggered when one feels threatened by that past.
Speaking of inner city schools, in the days when slavery was in its heyday, slaves were not even allowed to learn to read or write.
It seems that they are not being overly encouraged to learn how to read or write today either in many of the poor quality inner-city schools that prevail in many of the welfare ghettos. And if by something close to a miracle, they do manage to learn, just about everything they do read is marinated in the cultural Marxist political ideology twaddle of the radical Left - including the historical revisionism being peddled today not only in the schools, but also in the so-called "news" media which, in most cases, has become little more than a propaganda machine for the Left.
