Actually, attributing the stock market cycle changes to ANY U.S. President is not smart. There are economic forces larger than any president at work.

Yes, current stock prices are up, supposedly on increased corporate earnings. However there are flaws in that.

1. By historic standards stocks were in the average highly OVERVALUED BEFORE Trump was elected. If average corporate earnings rose since then and the stocks did not rise no further it would have represented earnings just coming up to existing expectations already built into average stock prices. And THAT, a STRONGER (based more on fundamentals) set of stock values would be a good thing and represent a healthy stable stock market, neither over bought nor over sold. Now, the stock prices, on a price/earnings ratio, have been not just reaching but breaching points where things most often turn radically downward in the correction of a bubble.

2. However, another statement of how “out of sync” the stock market is, is that the stock market average is more than ever driven by a few large companies with large total market valuations. This is reflected in just what is “gaining” and what is not. In the S&P 500 the biggest moves were among just six companies with gains, and a dozen companies with price/value reductions, yet the total valuation of the S&P 500 rose.

Krugman may have been wrong, as far as any “Trump connection” to the stock markets (yes, he is part of (not the ONLY factor) lifting expectations), but the markets were already over-bought on a historic price/earnings ratio basis and recent increases have put them in bubble territory.

LOL. Ya, when’s the last time MTV had music videos???

I think it’s funny, that a channel set up for a specific type of programming abandoned that programming it was set up for.

MTV isn’t the only one. VH1 is the same way, they don’t show music videos either. Ditto Country Music Television. The last time I channel surfed across CMT, they were showing some old movie.

GORE:...I’m a Protestant...

No idiot....you're a protestor.

You're an unrepentant and chronic liar, a baby-killer, a thief, a charlatan and a "crazed sex poodle" adulterer.

None of these are "protestant values". I repudiate you and your phony association with Christianity.

because of Pope Francis, I really could become a Catholic...

Yeah, maybe you two should get a room.
