But yeah. Once an Obamacare was in place, even though it happened in such a way that Democrats were clearly “to blame,” then our dear Republicans started fessing up that they kind of liked the idea too.
We have a larger, more transcendent problem here, and I aver that Obamacare, and even a Trumpcare that may follow, is only filling the hole with something poor, because something rich has been AWOL.
America is a country that remembers fondly what it was like when it was largely Christian. But it has lost the Christian guidance. And so everyone and his uncle and aunt are claiming rights willy nilly, rather than rights being assigned to things that are of God.
And wait, and wait, and wait, and wait... who says that a stepping stone is entrenchment? If we don’t engage with Democrats honoring their posts if not their positions, then once more they will show themselves master of the sudden about face for show, and once more America will swallow it.
So no I won’t spare you or anyone else “platitudes.”
And no, I won’t equate what I am talking about to “more gradual progressivism.” It will be coming back from the brink.
No! We must engage. These Democrats were elected; they hold certain posts; we must respect those posts. Romans 13. Go to God and call HIS advice mere platitudes! You might come away a smoking ruin.
But at the time we must call bullshit on the bullshit. Donald Trump is exceeding good at that.
There are some wonderful Christians in the Roman branch of Christendom. God bless all of them. I’m not nearly as interested in talking about all the naughty things the churches have allowed and engaged in, and they are rife, as much as how the Lord has yet been piercing through the gloom. And should be honored, feared, and respected.
The best a secular Caesar can do is to give you something cold and sterile, and wish you luck. The hospital used to be known as a house of God. When people let their actions say “God cares,” it shows. We can get more out of less that way.
Government out of healthcare isn’t anarchy, it is the free market.
Exactly right, Republicans need to reject as a party. But they won’t, our traitors, McCain, Collins, and Murkowski want this, it’s what they set us up for.
Dirty little secret is, Democrats can and will get a bill through to prop up Obamacare because they have the majority with the three traitors, and they’ll use it.
And yet there is more being handled here than healthcare alone. It’s the whole political process of America.
By at least some modernly judicially accepted and merely grumbled about stretch, the right to regulate commerce has engulfed the commerce of healthcare too.
Just because something may be permissible to a government does not mean it is a wise thing for that government to do.
We probably can’t pull government back from healthcare without an effort to pull government back from everything.
If it’s inevitable, the best thing we can do is limit the damage.
By being willing to call bullshit on the lies, and again Donald Trump is great at this, this may be effected.
UHCA
Unaffordable Health Care Act
I.e. we need to have a convincing reason (and not just to people in a certain niche of American society) to WANT a “free market.”
yes, the Dems own it and the sheeple voted for the ass twice so they should just shut up and pay up...
The Dims are playing Hot Potato and the RINOs will volunteer to shag fly balls, count on it.
“Please Sir, burn my hands one more time!”
Big donations coming to those who get those insurance company subsidies appropriated!
And the media will idolize those who get taxpayers on the hook for them.
Good times for the establishment.
The Dems see a huge political opportunity waiting to be scooped up now that the lying worthless GOP has saved Obamacare. Now all the GOP can say is “me too, me too!” when changes are proposed to fix this mess.
Sen Rand Paul:
"Mr President, I rise to propose the following amendment: Strip out the entire text of the bill after the enacting clause, and replace it with the following":
"Repeal Obamacare"
"Thank you Mr President."
"Mr President, I would like to speak to my motion."
This is the only chance they will ever have to set things right with citizens who voted for them.
We are being robbed to pay for high priced healthcare insurance that is practically unusable due to high deductibles.
The republicans ran for election on the promise to repeal it, not patch it up!
Don't be slimy weasels like John McCain - Keep your promises!
I think the Republicans are stalling till September when the big rate hikes get announced and many of the insurances pull out of states and localities. Then they can ride to the rescue.
Obamacare is a patchwork of regulations and laws - change some, like abolishing the individual mandate and abolishing the medical devices taxes, and in reality you don’t have Obamacare anymore - we’re in a silly contest to see who will change what they want changed and get to name the carcass - Republicans will call it Good Care for All or some such and the ‘rats will call it The Affordable Care Act with Revisions - it is to laugh......
Give us a clickable source where President Trump says “America owns Obamacare.”
I can give you his verbatim words on it: “Let it fail.”
I’ll wait right here.
Rescue? They have no balls and everything Trump wants to do gets slammed by some flippin’ commie judge. No funding for it, let it collapse.
People can purchase unqualified plans directly from insurers for less. That’s were people need to go and the new Medicaid folks can get booted or their state picks up the tab.
