You connected it to the antenna IN with a RCA Cable or with a 75 Cable .
It required NO Power.

The antenna connects to the back on the TV where you would connect the cable.
It takes in over-the-air Network and local TV stations via this antenna. Your TV works as it always does. It just has a different signal source.

One other thing to know about Antennas.
An outdoor antenna is prone to lightening strikes.
So learn how to put on a surge protector in the antenna cable, IF you live in a lightening prone area.
