‘I say Cruz.’

Cruz, if you want nothing done, ever. Most of the other Senators hate him, and Cruz has yet to demonstrate the leadership to get anything significant passed. A leader needs to be able to rally the trumps. Cruz doesn’t have it.

I’d support Cruz as a Sessions replacement. As AG, Cruz could command rather than rally. He could select targets and marshal resources to do his bidding. Imo, he’d get that job done in spades.

The Republicans could hold 90 seats in the senate, and they would still cave to the Democrats.

There’s no such creature, so we may as well pick one who will do the right thing and drag the cucks along with him, kicking and screaming all the way.

What does McConnell need to do to make it 51 votes? That’s how Obamacare was passed through reconciliation.

He would be nuts to take the AG job. He would be fired within two years, and end up in, like, talk radio or something.

I honestly have no earthly idea of who could herd the cats in the Senate. I think Sasse is the most respected by colleagues and has the right temperament, but he is still pretty anti-Trump.

Cornyn makes the most sense, but I think he would be in open warfare with the moderates from Day 1.

Make Medicaid expansion larger, permanent and funded.

Which would undercut everything the Republican Party is supposed to stand for.

Yeah right, where are you going to find that in the Republican Party?

Idk. Imo, there is a real chance Cruz could shine as AG. He’s not a team player, but he’s brilliant, legally astute and wouldn’t care about the ramifications of going after the big fish. I could be wrong, certainly, but I suspect Cruz just might hit his pace at the DOJ.

I wouldn’t want Sasse as janitor. Way too anti-Trump. If I could have any senator at all, I’d choose Paul. Ten percent of the time he’s nuts, but he’s pretty good the rest of the time. The best part would be to watch him demoting chairmen/women right and left. Play ball, or face obscurity. Hehe.

It’s going to take a bloodbath in the primaries to make changes. There are only a handful of conservatives in the Senate. In the House, the percentage is much higher, but they are still a minority.

A bloodbath in the general election in 2018 won’t help, it will just destroy Trump’s ability to do anything for 2 years. We have to organize and target in the primaries, especially in the Senate. Heller, target no. 1. Flake, no. 2. Take out Manchin with a conservative, someone who will tell Capito to start representing her state. Etc.

How exactly do you think the Senate works?

Explain to me why the Republicans would vote for Paul who none of them particularly like and who most of them do not align with ideologically. And then explain why they would all stand by and let him bully the hell out of all of them. McConnell can do targeted bullying because he has a very large base of support within the chamber.

None of these guys are dictators for life.

Oh calm down. I didn’t say Paul could be elected to the job. I said if I could have any senator I wanted.

It’s Friday. There was a lighthearted element to my comment. I can’t be dead serious all the time.

These are the only senators who will consider removing McWeasal. The rest are McWeasal clones, of big government, borrow, tax and spend.

The Republican party has joined the Democrats as the enemies of the Republic. Both must die for the country to live. Taking over one is not viable and has been the cause celeb for 25 yrs. it ain’t working.

Trump needs to remove the congresses exemption for their healthcare and very publicly tell the US congress you are now going to live under the same laws you are screwing the American people over with.

Trump then needs to stop his attacks on Sessions and train his fire on Lying John McInsane and Hagkowski.

How? It wouldn’t have changed the 3 crucial votes.

since Republicans were hoping healthcare reform would free up money for other priorities like tax reform and infrastructure.

Or, how about don't spend the money you "save" and instead start trying to bring the debt down...

Huh? Cornyn would be fighting the Conservatives all day long. He's not any kind of person we would want in charge of anything.
