I think they will be teaching case studies in Strategic Communications and Information Operations from this administration for decades to come.
Having said that, Kurt Schlichter writes some great lines. My favorite:
I have zero intention of fretting because Trumps personality musses the feathers of conservatisms Margret Dumont contingent.
>> Sessions is your friend you cant diss a friend <<
The question is not whether you “can” diss him, but whether you “should” diss him and humiliate him in public.
If I were in charge, and assuming I was sincere in wanting improved performance from an employee, I think I’d call him in for a heart-to-heart, one-on-one counseling session.
But should I diss him and humiliate him in front of others?
No way, at least not if I wanted to retain good employees and/or to recruit highly qualified new hires.
Aria sure could do a good job of draining the swamp.
Trump cannot talk to people like Sessions in private anymore. He is accused of trying to secretly force them to do something.
He has no other recourse than to deal in public. I am not so sure anymore that Sessions isn’t part of the Preibus cabal pretending to be for the POTUS, but not really for the POTUS.
Trump is surrounded by snakes. Question really is “do people really want the ugliness it will take to drain the swamp and root out the deceivers”? Or are they going to back the one person that is trying to live up to his promises?
Arya should start a catering service in DC!
“If I were in charge, and assuming I was sincere in wanting improved performance from an employee, I think Id call him in for a heart-to-heart, one-on-one counseling session.”
What if you did that, and his attitude was, “That’s not how we do things in Washington, and you can’t afford to fire me, so FU”?
>> What if you did that, and his attitude was, Thats not how we do things in Washington, and you cant afford to fire me, so FU? <<
Then I’d call a press conference with him at my side, explain what he said, and fire him on the spot.
“Then Id call a press conference with him at my side, explain what he said, and fire him on the spot.”
And what if you really couldn’t afford to fire him?
>> what if you really couldnt afford to fire him? <<
I’d do it anyway, because as POTUS, you simply can’t afford for the whole world to view you as a pussycat who can be intimidated by one of your employees.
Remember when Reagan fired the air traffic controllers? Almost everybody said he couldn’t afford the blame for the huge damage to the whole air travel/cargo industry.
But Reagan fired ‘em anyway, and he greatly enhanced his standing not only in the USA but across the globe. In particular, the USSR learned not to mess with this guy, and in fact it was the Reds rather than Reagan who suffered the greatest eventual damage.
I agree, but who knows what private conversations President Trump has already had with Sessions, with seemingly no effect? It could be a desperate attempt to put him "on notice".
I certainly don't know - it hasn't been leaked yet. /s
Well, when you’re right, you’re right.
