It was so sweet cruising back through on Friday while they were still in shock.
I receive questionnaires from after my flights are completed. Next time I fly, later this summer, I will mention this issue in an attempt to improve the flying experience.
They purport to ask viewers, not travelers, so the polled population is probably those who can stand to watch CNN.
I was in a couple airports yesterday and noticed CNN was on everywhere, like fingernails on a chalkboard. As someone stated above, most everyone was on their phone or computer.
The VA hospital I use normally has CNN running on all of its waiting room televisions. Fortunately, its just part of their cable package and the televisions controls are all accessible by the waiting patients.
After asking my fellow patients, I always change the channel to either Turner Classic Movies or something like Me TV.
No one has ever wanted to continue watching CNN or return to it. Plus they all seem to enjoy the channel shifted to.
It’s always made me uneasy that those TVs are initially set to CNN, and that none take the initiative to switch to something they enjoy.
Nada: [seeing politician on TV for the first time] Ha, figures it’d be something like this.
`They Live!’
Amazon sells a device called tv b gone. It is a universal remote made to turn off tv’s in public places.
“”People have the rightliberal or conservativeto have their personal views honored in the public arena. They came to catch a flight, not to hear partisan politics””
HUH?
You can buy large stickers, like “CNN FakeNews Network” and “CNN Very Fake News,” online to put near the CNN propaganda spewer at airports.
I actually witnessed lots of people at the airport gates watching Fake News CNN last week and openly laughing at them. It’s turned into a form of comedy and the joke is on CNN.
I don’t have a smart phone but I believe if you have one with an IR (internal register?) you can buy an app that allows you to change TV channels as you’re walking by the TeeVee showing the odious, lies-spouting Jake Tapper or Wolf Blitzer.
I'll give you something for free that CNN pays you $90,000 a year to take.
Hmmm, turn down $90,000 free dollars? Where do I sign????
So when CNN reports the number of viewers, do the people in the airport count as part of the audience? Seems like less than quality viewership in that event.
WONDERFUL!
The one thing the left CAN'T STAND is when they are ridiculed!
that would be a good idea too. I don’t have a smart phone either.
The article says it’s not a tv with various channels but a monitor controlled by far away to show and give audio from CNN Atlanta only. So that wouldn’t work.
I’d like a little invention, a tiny cheap voice recorder, that you could discreetly leave near any CNN airport monitor that repeated CNN FAKE NEWS FAKE NEWS in a silly singsong voice.
My last office building had a feed in the elevator for something called Captivate. If Obama tied his shoelaces in the morning, they were there to cheer.
So would reruns of "Barney". Simple fix, simply rotate among the "all-news" cable channels, switching every half hour.
Friend of mine goes to local Reno VA hospital regularly. He walks in, & goes directly to the TV & changes it from CNN to Fox. Seems CNN is bothering the vets, also.
As a frequent flier it pains me to have to listen to CNN in the waiting areas. Worst of all many foreign visitors have to hear their drivel as well which gives them a dim view of the USA. Since all Major Airports are taxpayer funded why has CNN have a monopoly on airports?
Journalism is negative, and journalists know it: If it bleeds, it leads.Nevertheless, journalists claim that journalism is objective. IOW, journalists claim that negativity is objectivity - and it is hard to improve on that as a definition of cynicism."
