One must understand just how psychologically damaged the German people are as a result of the never-ending stigmatizing they have endured from WW-2 to the present day. Everything from the Holocaust Museums to the countless films and books condemning them, to the many manhunts for Nazis who allegedly are in hiding all over the world, to Germany’s own criminalizing of any speech supportive of their own country in WW-2, etc., etc., ad nauseam.

Do you know any Germans? Have you ever been to Germany? Do you know the history of Germany and its contributions in the fields of science, medicine, the arts? Didn’t think so. Are you aware that many men born in Germany fought for America in all of its wars since and including the Revolution? Didn’t think so. Yeah, so what? Dude, I had an uncle in the 5th Army who was severely wounded by the Germans at the battle of Monte Cassino, February 1944. He was taken prisoner, and a German corpsman saved his life. Now go away.
