>Episcopal Bishop in Maine: It is our moral obligation to take in refugees
Religious officials who favor foreigners over locals are wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Then its also that Bishop’s (and his church/organization) responsibility to accept the civil & criminal legal responsibility for the actions his refugee “flock”.
Its the moral thing to do!
To turn over consular services to Homeland Security is not a bad idea. Most Ambassadors could care less about what happens in their consular section. The working hypothesis: Don’t make a wave. I recall one case where a Latin American wealthy gangster was accompanying his wife to a hospital in Houston where they were going to have an “anchor baby.” The gangster was a nasty piece of goods and when the Consul General suggested turning down the visa application the Ambassador responded bravely, “Oh no, I have my safety to consider.”
I didn’t know that Tapper could write. I thought he only knew how to spew garbage from his mouth which some may describe as talking.
This is another big win for America and for Americans.
Bureau of population, refugees and migration???
This government has gotten too big and too powerful.
If this is true, it must be a great move by the President because he is pissing off the right people.
LOL
State Dept AND the DOinJ! Major players.
Exactly. Find out who doesn’t like it and you know they don’t give a crap about the nation. I would think there would be a way to find them according to the decisions they have made. Kinda like a voting record.
You know, THAT IS A VERY, VERY GOOD IDEA. If anyone approves someone who breaks the law, they should be held responsible the same as a parent is responsible for their kids actions. Have the churches pay the fines.
Ann Corcoran has a fantastic website with fantastic info on refugees and immigration. She has been saying for a long time that the refugee policy needs to be reformed, so moving it from State Dept to DHS might be exactly what is needed to get that done.
