I know a truck driver and his parter that was taking a break in a truckstop and shooting pool. Two prostitutes walked in and struck up a conversation. They knew what they were but were just being polite. They got ready to go and the truck driver said, “If I had a million dollars, I’d hang around here.”
They arrested him when he walked out of the truck stop and claimed that was solicitation. Judge dismissed it for insufficient evidence, but it took him a year to get his record cleared.
Any time is a good time.
Bust ALL the child porn sites, and ALL the men and women that go specifically looking for children for sex.
But when the police go onto adult websites pretending to be 18-20, posting that they wanna meet, then they chat the suspect up for a day or two, and badger them to meet it is WRONG.
Dude, there are all sorts of adult websites for dating and other things that the cops post on to specifically lure people in that are not seeking out kids that they bust all the time.

Yep. There was this guy I know he went to go meet the girl(teenager) but changed his mind and went home. He had to drive there, he was in his early twenties. He didn’t show. The cops went to a judge and got a warrant for the phone records reasoning “well he might be with another teen”, judge granted the request and the records showed that his phone had pinged the tower in the region where they agreed to meet.
Even though he didn’t show, and backed out(they are supposed to let you back out otherwise it’s entrapment) they arrested him, charged him, and convicted him.
I agree there is a point where people SHOULD be arrested and that’s after they meet the victim and verbally agree to the encounter. But if they don’t show, or change their minds, or are being baited and switched they should not be prosecuted, PERIOD. It’s completely wrong and defies all common sense, but it’s easy to do and get convictions because “pedophiles on every street” or whatever.
