Minimum Wage Laws are Destroying Jobs -- Just as Predicted

We have a SS disability man helping us with certain jobs around our tree farm. He is in his late 50's a good worker and reliable. $10 bucks an hour, cash, under the table.

When he heard about the $15 minimum wage in some cities, he asked us for $15 an hour since that is the minimum wage now. Ah, we don't pay taxes on your income, we don't write you a check and write it off, we don't take out SS payments as required by law once on a payroll. No, is the answer. He is still working for us, occasionally.
