Wasn’t Cher married briefly to him?
To: JudyinCanada
Yes, had a son Elijah Blue, I believe.

RIP, brother. The Allman Brothers Live at the Filmore East is my all-time favorite rock album. Slide guitarist Duane Allman was the best, IMHO.

Yes, and I believe the marriage lasted about 9 days. I think Gregg mentioned Cher briefly in his autobiography but I don’t recall what he said. Who knows what they were thinking.

I just looked it up. Saw some old pics with Elijah as a youngun’, with Chastity in the pic as well. I’ve decided I know why Chastity decided in her head she wanted to be a boy.
To: JudyinCanada
She filed for divorce after nine days.

Judging from photos of them together, it looks like they sort of deserved each other and were lucky to find somebody who'd put up with them.

One of the naturally coolest guys in rock music. I still listen to the Allman Brothers.

Definitely one of the best early live rock albums. Funny, my Wife loves rock and its different variations. She just couldn't get into blues-rock. That's why I have to go to the theater to listen to the Allman Brothers, early Zepplin, Humble Pie, et al.

Anyone who hasn’t heard Whippin Post, Statesboros Blues, Southbound, Jessica have really missed out on some of the most melodic blues and blues-rock instrumentals ever. Damn, I feel old.

HepC, eh? One of my best friends died from that. I had it (early 80's tattoo shops), but Harvoni cured it.
Loved his solo work and some of the original Allman Bros. d:^)

My all-time record breaking listening of one song for the most times over the most days, with headphones, was “Wipping Post”, hands down. Back when “Live at the Fillmore East” was first issued. RIP, man.
