[[Canadians are proud of their politeness.]]
Really? I worked i na town that during hte summer was a canadian hot spot- worked in food service- waiter- canadians were rude, didn’t tip hardly at all and demanded constantly- the term ‘Stupid Americans’ was a comment comment by them- My view of Canadians was soured after having had to wait on them for several summers- You’d think them begin on vacation would have been an occasion for relaxation and enjoying life- but nope- many were angry and rude- (not all- but many were-)
He could get away with that as a private citizen. But he's president now, with a hostile press and the Democrats hanging on his every word ready to pounce. He needs to think before he speaks.
You’re a Never Trumper if I remember accurately.
I have no trouble with what he said. Almost anybody at this point has better healthcare than we do.
Canadians are terrible tippers - like the Brits. Notorious on the old Waiter Rant blog, lol.
I was late to the party but I wasn't a never-Trumper. He wasn't my first choice but he was my final choice.

Then are you suggesting we go with a government system like Australia or Canada?
No, what I said or implied is that our healthcare is a total mess. A $4,000 monthly premium (which is what my ins. company suggested I pay) is a total mess.
Being polite at public meetings is a Trump tic. If you don’t like it, I suggest people vote for somebody else in 2020.
This is an interesting idea. It sounds like there is a bare bones type of plan offered by the government to all.
An individual market exists for other types of coverages that a person might want.
They like to describe themselves that way. I live near the border, so a lot of American Bernie Sanders followers who love the idea of Government health care will also praise Canadians as "polite" and "laid back."
I'm agnostic about it. have met all types. French Canadians are definitely different from Anglo Canadians. Canada, in particular Southern Ontario / GTA, also has so many immigrants, particularly South Asian/Pakis, that there isn't really a "canadian character" or culture there anymore. In those places "Canadian Culture" has simply become like a duty-free at in Dubai or Amsterdam airports - people from everywhere, traveling in their own groups, there simply for the materialism.
and don’t get me started on their driving lol- we use a major turnpike that runs into canada- so lots of canadian drivers on the road- Wowsers- but to be fair- boston drivers aint much better- the advice in boston is ‘never buy a new vehicle- it won’t last long’ - if you ever drive through boston- look at the vehicles- many are dented, scraped etc- doesn’t pay to buy new- lol
You realize you replied to your own post and because of that called yourself a twit?
Four thousand dollars monthly premium, wow.

It was a comment that didn’t have to be made. Trump has alluded to being open to single payer before. This may have been him softening loyal followers to the idea.
So why do so many wealthy conservatives like Mark think Americans are happy about Obamacare?! We’re devastated!
Reference to Mark Steyn on Rush’s show now who thinks American love Obamacare.
You kidding...Trump has made no secret he is for single payer!!!
I’ve watched a lot of Mark Stein on financial shows and he is not really a conservative, I would consider him a moderate liberal. He never missed an opportunity to promote the rich paying more taxes and more for everything else.
What happens is, they decide the rich need to pay more, then when they discover it isn’t enough, they raise the rates on them and also lower the income floor that designates a person as rich.
