Ask this same 56% to explain 3 provisions of the “deal” and to list 2 examples of Iran’s compliance.
No one I know understands the content of the deal - meaning support is irrelevant. This is a PR poll, and has no value.
More than that, I’ll bet, when half of them can’t find Wisconsin.

What Trump said was this, paraphrase “It is a terrible deal for America”. The fact that he says Iran is complying with the terms of the deal does not make it any less terrible.

Might have a wee bit to do with they don’t have a clue what is in the Iran deal, ...AND, how the pollster asks the questions.

Brought to you by the same people who would probably not be able to tell the functional difference between a rifle and a shotgun, but still think more gun control is the answer to firearms homicides and suicides. And yes, I agree with ones here that many surveyed in that silly poll probably would not be able to point out Iran on a map or also be able to tell you what year the Islamic Revolution took place in that country and what ruling figure’s government was overthrown in that revolution.
