Yup, the stew could have had the sleeping guy move to whereever he belonged and the couple would have had their seats. Or the stew could have just realized it’s really not a big deal where they sit in a half empty plane. Calling in Air Marshalls should have been the last thing that would come to mind.

Stewardess was never meant to be a career. Like everything else, unions destroyed air travel.

The airline is lying, as usual. Read the rest of the article:

“The airline said, ‘We’ve been in touch with them and have rebooked them.’”

These passengers would NOT be rebooked, if they were at fault.

And did you miss the first part of the article, about United NOT doing anything about the slob who was sleeping on their assigned seats...which is why they sat down in other seats in the first place?

United is really great at letting the true troublemakers get away with murder, while dropping the banhammer on people who are just trying to mind their own business.

"...Singapore Airlines..."

Singapore Airlines is like being in a premium 5-star hotel that just happens to be 37,000 feet in the air.
If the foreign carriers ever began to fly long-haul domestic routes...I would gladly pay ANY price difference to my employer...out of my own pocket, for a few hours of peace and heartfelt customer service.

If they were trying to steal an upgraded seat position without paying I have zero sympathy for them. Called theft of services. Kind of like sneaking out of a hotel without paying or stiffing a restaurant after esting an expensive meal.

That be funny.
I haven’t flown since 2003, when a poor tsa engrisher made me take my shoes off. I was picked because of my ponytail.

Several years ago after the planes closed it doors and no more passengers were able to come people myself included scattered out on the plane to be more comfortable and no one cared. The current service on airlines is terrible at best. Most people haven’t flown all that much so they do not realize how sorry the airlines have become

This is news because of the blood in the water. That being said, the airlines do treat the traveling public like crap — if they could get away with stacking you like cord wood, they would. So, I'm not giving them any sympathy. They made this hostile environment, so let them stew in it.

I need to know more about it.

From the article:

“These passengers repeatedly attempted to sit in upgraded seating which they did not purchase and they would not follow crew instructions to return to their assigned seats,” the airline said. “We’ve been in touch with them and have rebooked them.”

On a recent flight, when I got to my seat I found a massively obese man was sitting in the center seat, taking up both his seat and most of mine. The flight attendant was right there and put me in the next row, where there was an empty seat, before I could even say anything. That was American Airlines.

I was just watching the followup news and, after take-off when the couple was no longer on board, the stews on this flight told people in the lesser class they could move up to the empty seats. Oy.
