Traded drugs for ass sex
This guy is trouble and freepers are gullible as usual
I’m inclined to agree with Megan on this one.
I agree that the Chino doctor is no prize but that’s really separate from the plane incident.
As I hear it there is a good reason that the doctor was so adamant about staying on the flight. He had had his license to practice returned to him but he’s vulnerable to losing it again if he fails to keep his appointments. Which he would fail to keep if he got bumped.
And the airline industry SOP of overbooking and routinely bumping people seems to me to be just one more aspect of the current War on Consumers that big business has been waging on hapless Americans.

This guy was no Daisy
He saw a lawsuit chance
Well I grant that this guy is on the unsavory side and he may well be an opportunist. But it seems to me that current airline/FAA policy is part of the problem. Airlines are selling something like a lottery ticket for a seat instead of an actual ticket for a seat.
I don’t think weather or mechanical issues were involved here, it seems to be United taking the easy way of moving a crew by bumping customers. American businesses often seem to have transitioned from serving customers to serving customers for dinner. I sometimes get the feeling that they think we are prey.
Yes
For 4-5000 United could have chartered a cabin twin and flown the crew to Louisville
But now anytime they overbook it’ll be an I’m not moving and I’ll sue scenario
I’d like to know what is the average no show rate on flights
Planes used to be a lot less full in my heyday
Yeah. Finally a comment with a common sense move that could have made this event a story that never happened.
I would HATE getting bumped, and I would maybe yelled and screamed, but before getting dragged down the aisle my hands would have gone up and I would have started walking. The passenger controlled his own fate.
