I’ve heard Harvard University called “the Berkeley of the East Coast,” so it makes sense that Cambridge, Mass., is imitating the City of Berkeley.
The Left’s playbook is old and nothing ever changes, it just gets more strident.
The last Republican President they didn’t call Hitler was the guy who defeated Hitler.
Every Republican president is “illegitimate”. When Bush won we were told that dissent is the highest form of patriotism. When Obama was elected that idea disappeared immediately.
Everyone who disagrees or even questions the Left is horrible and should be banished from existence, preferably by violent means.
The Left worked hard to keep Democrats angry about Bush for 4 years. They still lost. So one of Kerry’s top campaign people wrote a book claiming Bush stole the 2004 race as well as the 2000. Now Trump has “stolen” the office again.

Does the city council have any legal standing? Aren’t their affairs limited to the state, with elected Congressional representatives to handle affairs of federal?

Do you really have to ask? This is utterly meaningless b.s. libtard posturing. No, they have zero legal standing to say anything about presidential impeachment. Anyone in the world can babble all they like about impeachment, only a majority of the US House of Representatives can impeach. Only 2/3 vote of the US Senate can “convict” to remove a POTUS from office after impeachment.
The Cambridge City Council is worth no more than a few farts in the wind.
