The HUD IG office is useless. From what I can tell their leadership travels around with young "arm candy" staff accomplishing nothing, other than preserving the dignity of HUD decisionmaking.
We are gonna need a whole new and bigger law enforcement authority to oversee all the agencies including current law enforcement agencies. Chances are 99% of them are decent, honest, and hard working but that 1% makes them all look bad; especially if they don’t come forward to report the dishonest ones.
What a freaking hot mess obama left this country in. Who knew one president could do so much damage so fast and steal so much money even with all the help he had.
We may need to find a much bigger island to jail them on. Gitmo is way too small.

If you can’t answer my concern it means you didn’t listen to their report, which begs the questions of why anyone else should take the time to do it when you felt it wasn’t worth yours, and whether you know these guys personally and posted it just to pimp their blog.
Well if YOU had listened to the report you would have probably found the quote from the IG to be a bit vague as to timeline, as I did. Bottom line, HUD’s books are in such bad shape, including $520 billion that cannot be accounted for, that the IG cannot even audit the agency.

If you read it, you will see that the headline claim is a false one derived that is being recirculated by people like yourself who want it to be true, without actually checking out whether the facts do support the claim - which they most certainly do not.
The real story here is that HUD has royally messed up its books. The “cannot account for $520 billion” is a gross misreading of what’s actually in the report - which is that the $520B is the absolute sum of fixes made to HUD accounting - which means if a $1m expense was removed from one sub-account and added to another, that counts for $2m in adjustments... and zero dollars to which the phrase “can not account for” would apply.
The implication that half a trillion dollars is simply missing from the department is as wrong as can be.
Let this be a lesson in the folly of relying on journalists - who generally have no expertise in the subjects they cover - to interpret data and report it correctly.
Oh, it’s not lost. It helped fund secret projects. PDJT should talk to Catherine Austin Fitts. And even better, she could testify before Congress the money scams that were occurring back in the Bush Admin. when she worked there. There is no reason to believe these shenanigans have somehow stopped.
