Josh Earnest is upset because Obama hasn’t been acknowledged as ‘most transparent’ pres.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said during a CNN interview aired Sunday that he’s upset over the fact that President Barack Obama doesn’t get enough credit for being the “most transparent” president in United States history.

Earnest made his comments during an interview with CNN host Brian Stelter, who said that many journalists would disagree with Earnest that the Obama White House has been the most transparent in history, noting the complaints of journalists and denied Freedom of Information Act requests.

Earnest responded by saying that the Obama administration has responded to “hundreds of thousands” of FOIA requests, but argued that there is “no constituency in American politics for transparency in government beyond journalists.”

“If this constituency — journalists — are gonna be effective advocates for the issue that they care about, they need to remember that they have a responsibility not just to criticize those who are not living up to their expectations,” he went on to explain.

“Any activist will tell you that the way that you get people to support you and to support your cause is to give them credit when the credit is due, to applaud them when they do the thing that you want them to be doing,” Earnest added.

The press secretary said that journalists not acknowledging Obama’s transparency is one of the reasons he’s had a “beef” with the press during his time in the White House.

But not only that, Earnest alleged that President-elect Donald Trump has no “incentive” to be transparent

“Given the fact that President Obama has been the most transparent president in American history, and given the fact that he has not gotten much, if any, credit for that from journalists, what incentive does Donald Trump, who I think has a predisposition against transparency when you consider the way he handled his tax returns, what argument does anyone have that there is an [incentive] for him to be more transparent?” he said.

Josh Earnest: White House Flabbergasted, Shocked by Rising Gun Sales

BY MICHAEL VAN DER GALIEN DECEMBER 11, 2015
https://pjmedia.com/trending/2015/12/11/josh-earnest-white-house-flabbergasted-shocked-by-rising-gun-sales/

President Barack Obama’s spokesman Josh Earnest said on Thursday that the White House is flabbergasted by the record number of Americans seeking to buy guns in recent weeks.

“The more that we see this kind of violence on our streets, the more people go out and buy guns,” he said. “That is both ironic and tragic.”

Every person with just a basic degree of common sense knows why it’s happening — Americans no longer feel safe and believe the Obama administration will try to outlaw gun sales when it can — but sadly, no such people are part of this horrendous administration. As Earnest said when asked to explain the record sales numbers: “I don’t know. I really don’t know.”

He added:

“In some cases these are individuals who believe that they need to buy a gun so that they can better protect themselves. I’m just pointing out that there are already an astonishing number of guns on the streets of America and far too many innocent Americans who are being killed by them.”

In contrast to Earnest, Americans also see the violence — especially terrorist attacks like the one in San Bernardino last week — and realize that if they don’t protect themselves, nobody’s going to do it.

“It’s tragic that in the immediate aftermath of a series of high profile mass shootings, that people feel like they have to go out and purchase a gun,” he said. “That ready access to guns and that proliferation of violent weapons of war has not led to fewer gun deaths. It’s tragic that even in the situation where we have lots of guns on the streets that lead to lots of innocent Americans being killed, that the response to that is that a whole lot more guns end up on the streets. That’s tragic and ironic.”

Again we have the same liberal talking point repeated time and again: guns kill people.

No libs, guns do no such thing. Not guns, but violent criminals and terrorists kill people. San Bernadino’s killers’ guns had nothing to do with the attack. They were just there. It took someone — a radical Muslim man and his terrorist wife — to point them at innocent people and pull the trigger.

What if one or two of the murdered people in San Bernardino had guns with them? They would’ve been able to defend themselves and their colleagues, and prevent the terrible bloodbath.

Josh Earnest doesn’t get that, but the average American does. And that’s precisely why Americans are buying more guns than ever before.
