As soon as REPEAL! turned into repeal and replace I knew we were taking the shaft rather than the elevator.
I had the same impression during the election cycle. The first time I heard that, my heart sank. But, thanks to the Freedom Caucus and other like-minded congressman we've managed to install in government, we still have a good opportunity for success. The battle lines in the near future will become clear with regard to ObamaCare's imminent financial implosion : the democrats will push for "single payer" as the solution; the conservatives will push for "repeal" and the free market as the solution; and, Paul Ryan and other Rinos will wobble their fingers in the air to test the wind for their next re-election.

"Does anyone know how President Trumps first Executive Order works? He signed it on the same day he was inaugurated and it pertained to the ACA (individual mandate?).Sec. 2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Secretary of Health and Human Services (Secretary) and the heads of all other executive departments and agencies (agencies) with authorities and responsibilities under the Act shall exercise all authority and discretion available to them to waive, defer, grant exemptions from, or delay the implementation of any provision or requirement of the Act that would impose a fiscal burden on any State or a cost, fee, tax, penalty, or regulatory burden on individuals, families, healthcare providers, health insurers, patients, recipients of healthcare services, purchasers of health insurance, or makers of medical devices, products, or medications. Cheer up. If the past five months is any guide, “foreseeable” can mean only a few days. Events are moving at warp speed, and still accelerating.
To: ColdOne
What the Hell does he mean by “we”?
This faggot is not subject to Obamacare.

All I would do is eliminate the exemptions that Obama handed out, and force the congressional staff, and the spouses and family of Senators and Representatives to go onto ObamaCare. Keep the Senators and Representatives exempt.
Then sit back and watch things explode.

That is ridiculous. Cut that to save money.

Who couldn’t get enough votes for Ryno-care? Ryno Ryan. Ryno’s fingerprints are on it; Trump was mostly hands-off.
The Ryno is therefore to blame. Saying that 0-care will stay around is a self admission of fecklessness and incompettence.
Ryno is not a friend, and his position is weakened; good. That’s the silver lining and maybe Trump figured that all the time. I think that Trump wanted something so it could go to conference committee with a better Senate bill. Now, no one can say that Trump wasn’t flexible and didn’t try.
We need a speaker that will do a straight up repeal.

Yes.
I think that US Grant said if you want to get rid of a bad law, enforce it.
Everyone in the government (except military) needs to embrace the suck.

Thanks for posting that. I’m still not sure what that means in terms of the validity of the ACA’s mandate that otherwise uninsured individuals purchase health insurance or pay a “tax”.

I am beginning to believe that a people who will not rise up by the millions to march on Federal office buildings around the nation to protest the destructive healthcare act passed by the Democrats then deserve what they get. You can blame no one else but yourselves for allowing it to happen.

You are correct. Federal employees are paying FAR less per month for much better healthcare than everyone else. Failure of the people to demand change means they deserve what Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, Reid and the rest of them forced on them.
