To me, the inference was that the writer was indicating that he/she “hoped” they would be first. There is seemingly a group here who think the answer to our problems is for “blue cities” to be eliminated. At least that’s the inference I got out of the comment. If that was not the intent, I stand corrected.
I don’t think anyone sane would wish for a nuclear detonation on any or all of those cities. Since the OP seems sane, we can effectively rule out your inference of his motivations.

They just elected Trump, how quickly the honeymoon is over.
I’d like to give a $50k tax deduction per newborn. Not a welfare payment — if you pay no taxes, then you get no credit. What we need in this country is for the taxpaying class to have more babies, and a large enough deduction would be an inducement for career women to stay home and raise some babies.
