"In 2013 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law banning abortion advertising. In 2011 a law was passed banning abortion of unborn babies older than 12 weeks and mandated a waiting period of 2 to 7 days for women seeking an abortion. The government also pays a one-time baby bonus of the equivalent of $13,000 to the parents of every newborn."
“The chance of a nuclear war is with North Korea or Iran, rather than Russia. Kim is truly a wild card and the Ayatollahs running Iran seek martyrdom in the spreading of their religion.”
Exactly right! The NK and Iran nuclear programs were both aided and abetted by democrat presidents - clinton and obama - enemies of the USA just like the rest of their party.
$13k per baby?
That sounds like a Welfare Program.
That is a Welfare Program.
And Russia still has the highest abortion rate on the planet.
Been hearing this crap for 50 years.
A liberal Massachusetts Democrat has something to say. Let’s change the channel.
I don’t think you’re anyone to judge what’s appropriate for FR and what isn’t. From what I’ve seen of you, you’re little more than an arrogant provacateur. Go pontificate somewhere else.
>>The US abortion rate is 20.8 per 1000
>>The Russia abortion rate is 53.7 per 1000
Interesting point of view with regards to your legalism.
Russia spent 75 years under Communism, found Christianity, and still has the highest abortion rate (but only one data point so we can’t know what the trend is).
Meanwhile, the USA was founded by Christians as a nominally Christian nation. During the 75 years that Russia was Communist, we were telling ourselves that we were a Christian nation (e.g. the 1954 addition of “under God” to the Pledge of Allegience). Our abortion rate is much lower, but from a legalist point of view, we are not Christian either.
Fortunately, Jesus saves us when we are still sinners and then the work of Holy Spirit moves us towards sanctification, but does not mandate perfection in this life.
don’t poke the bear like Obama, Democratics, and the Media.

I wonder if the Russian Politburo get’s together and laughs their asses off at the idiots we have in our government?
I wonder if they have any people that stupid in their government?
They are probably thinking ...”these morons defeated us???”
Thanks for posting that. So the Russian trend is decreasing dramatically.
Sanctification seems to be working in Russia.
Yes, if a government gives money to people simply because they have a baby is an example of Welfare.
In terms of GDP, $13k in Russia the equivalent to $50k in the United States.
Would you advocate giving $50 for every baby born in the United States?
Gee, you must hate those Ruskies! The abortion rate was dropping before the payment program went into effect. BTW, you are probably paying more than 50 dollars here in the United States. We invented the term Welfare Babies so theys gets mo money.
“Go pontificate somewhere else.”
You shouldn’t use “big” words for which you don’t know the meaning!
It’s Welfare, both here and in Russia.

It could work here too. Which is why Trump talks about the US being a Christian nation and God protecting us. To me Trump apears to be a nominal Christian but one that believes that Christianity is necessary for the good of the country. A Constantine if you will.

Born to a married couple? Sure. We’re far below replacement rate of birth in this country and if not for massive immigration we’d be in decline.
However, cash payments for children isn’t that effective for increasing the birthrate. By far the best policy we could adopt is returning to penalties for adultery, bastardy, and outlawing divorce. That would supercharge the birthrate for good families.

I agree. He is far from being a sanctified man, but he does seem to be hearing the counsel of the Holy Spirit.
Begone, troll.
