Somewhere along the line, this newsworthy post was moved from News/Activism to the more invisible General/Chat forum, akin to the Religion Forum. Not the first time for a FR post regarding Sarah Palin and the news she makes. Just noticing.

Along with loosening the requirements so that illegal aliens can participate and we have the makings of another billion dollar boondoogle for illegal aliens to rip us off with. We’re already sending them billions worth of checks from the IRS.

Under Ryan’s plan, those who not comply, pay a fee to the insurance companies.

WHAT?

What if this is all part of Trump's plan?

Get Ryan to create something that's similar to Obamacare and hope that Dems won't support it. They're not, so now they can introduce a real healthcare reform package that will get Dems up for re-election and conservatives on board and get it passed.

Ah, the interdimensional chess argument!

I stand with Rand, Sarah and the other Conservatives who realize that giving TAX dollars to people who don’t pay taxes is nothing but another new entitlement that reminds me of that horrid alternative tax that used to snag me for $ thousands when I owned small businesses.

It’s wrong, immoral and must be dropped from The American Healthcare Act.

Thank you!

I think most, if not all of us hate Ryan-the-RINOcare.

That tax refund to people who don’t pay taxes is the killer for me.

NO new entitlements.

Cut the crap.

Stop the sh!t.

My question too.

Didn’t roberts declare obammycare was constitutional because it was a tax, so it did not violate interstate commerce clause by forcing citizens to buy a product.

If the penalty/tax is redirected from IRS to private ins cos doesn’t that put you back in violation of commerce clause????

Excellent post and that’s exactly what needs to happen. How many McCains and Grahams are we going to watch get re-elected before we start yelling and screaming to make their primaries a national event and get everyone in on the action to get rid of the scourage of rinoism.

In that case I would say make it a normal credit or make it a write off type of deduction (like a business expense). I agree that a refundable tax credit is a terrible idea. Conservatives can articulate that instead of telling and being incoherent. The same is true for other issues. All I’m hearing is Obamacare 2.0 and no one is articulating any legitimate complaints

Interstate competition is being opposed by the Democrats and they will filibuster to stop it. However, the Republicans can use the nuclear option and ram it through. It will have its consequences when the Republicans try to stop something the Democrats want and the filibuster option is no longer an option.

Makes no sense at all.

Ms. Palin blames Paul Ryan for this, but it is actually President Trump’s plan, and it is consistent with his longstanding promise of a universal healthcare program. If she wanted a conservative alternative, she could have endorsed a conservative in the primaries instead of Mr. Trump.

“Tax deductions” mean tax payers keep their dollars.

“Tax credits” are free money that can leave you in a surplus situation in which the tax payers pay you.

“If she wanted a conservative alternative, she could have endorsed a conservative in the primaries instead of Mr. Trump.”

I'm not certain, but I think Palin waited until it seemed like Trump had a pretty good lead over the others (Cruz) before she chimed in. I seem to recall thinking that “Well - I guess she figures backing a winner is better than backing a more conservative person that loses.”

I get that, and now she is trying to get Trump and everyone else to follow a more conservative path. I hope she is also making those one-on-one phone calls with Trump as well.

And I'm with Reagan on the 90% thing - Trump is on our side. And while some of those 10% of issues I'm willing to agree to disagree - a crappy healthcare plan isn't one of them.

One - I'm sick and tired of spending so much money on crap insurance. Two, and perhaps more important at the moment, I don't want Republicans to own this crappy plan.

“Well you know Wolf, the Republicans never gave obamacare a chance. It was well on the way to being a great plan. But now with the changes they made - well - just look at it. What a disaster the Republicans created....”
