I sent you pictures of the 157th Military base.
It appeared to be leveled. I presume by the B-52 I saw pictures of flying around Raqqa.
(and unless something has changed that I don’t know about, my friends in McAlester, OK still know how to make them)
“Dont care about the budget.”
When have you seen Trump adopt that attitude?
I’ve already seen pictures of Warthogs and B-52’s in the air around Raqqa.
Saw one day they admitted doing 23 sorties.
I don’t want them to explain what they are doing, but do it. And it is coming.
So do I. How’s that for meeting a first deadline.? Let’s take a few minutes to thank Mattis and team for their hard work. I’m very pleased.
..........plus, if some scared to death 18 year old kid in a moment of terror and bullets flying accidently shoots somebody a bunch of damn Pentagon lawyers don’t set upon him like rabid dogs!
Understand that, but this is not really about them anymore. This is about the United States of America has a chance to other utterly smash the most guilty movement into oblivion and get the world’s attention again.
And the rest of the moslem world including the Saudis need to see it up close, and internalize some healthy fear of the USA.
That would pay benefits orders of magnitude beyond helping some rag tag locals slightly overcome isis.
And a total rework of the Syrian government is the worst possible outcome. Anything other than Assad will result in a Sunni theocracy.
And see how easily you could slip from taking out isis, to reworking the Syrian government? That’s what I fear our leaders will do.
23 planes, in one day, from the USA? Italy could do that. That’s the lackadaisical attitude of which I speak. Our generals don’t even have sense enough to be embarrassed by that number.
It’s a joke.

Such a rework will not come from Assad. In Northern Syria the relationships are there to pull it off. Farther down, I doubt it is.
I don’t think they came from US. The came from a carrier. Not sure where the B-52’s and A-10’s came from. Have never heard an explanation. But I did see the videos.
Do you even hear see you wrote “the b-52 over Raqqa”. THE b-52? At least a cell of 3 should show 3 times a day and disgorge a load. Or go Hanoi, linebacker II.
This isn’t about which bunch of dune coons winds up on top. It’s about the USA making a statement to the region. No Arab is a friend in real life. And they need to see something that chills them all out. Like when dad gets really really angry when you were little.
Reworking the Syrian government is nothing that should matter to an American. Just wiping out all the rebels we created is all that America should do. I’d let the kurds walk away.
ISIS is holed up in Raqqa. It is a city. There are not many B-52 targets in a city. The base I sent pics of, was near, but not in Raqqa. It was a little North and slightly west of Raqqa. It appeared to be leveled. The before and after photos showed the destruction of the barracks. Were they occupied? Not sure. If they were, they are all gone now.
How many times have drones and helicopters found masses of enemy soldiers and equipment and only watched them disperse while waiting for someone in Florida or Europe to give permission to fire? Far too many times. I hope that ends now.
Likely a Navy Captain, the Pentagon is not going to trot this out with an O3 at the rostrum.
Commanders are on the ground. Last one I saw pics of was a Canadian Officer. Have no clue who is in charge of the Special Ops. Have heard that Votel runs that part of CentCom. He was in Syria a few days ago.
I would add, and not to make people happy there either, at least not initially. Because of the terrorists' propensity to embed themselves with civilians (read women and children)both for comfort and human shields, collateral damage (civilian deaths) will be an inevitable part of a winning strategy. Embedded reporters, nearly leftists all, would emphasize the human toll on non-combatants over victories.
Oh CNN, NBC, ABC and CBS will be there alright...They'll likely be recruited by ISIS AND the so called Rebels...They'll be reporting the atrocities committed by Trump's military...
We don’t have allies. We have parasites.
