im sure the enemies of this country disguised as embassy workers have thousands of green cards ready to hand out to anyone who states death to america. They have long term planners. where are ours. fire everyone who worked for obama travelgate type firings.

Almost every illegal I’ve known had a fake green card.
However, none of them were “new”, so this would temporarily allow those who were already here. The crackdown on fake papers can happen later. we just gotta stop these “refugees” et al, from getting in, and also not issue any new visas.

the left will protest everything. the point is what the court claims were objectionable about the first EO. did they claim it was too broad? that is posed a problem for people who supposedly had a “right” to travel in and out?

...thousands of green cards to hand out...

My first thought too. Don’t think for a minute they can’t back date them or already have a pile of made up cards at the ready.

I read somewhere (Laura Ingraham?) that the existing court case has to be vacated before issuing the replacement? I don’t know anything about law so I probably misunderstood — does anyone understand that issue?

If that is the biggest mistake that the Trump Administration ever makes, I’ll take it.

I just came across this article which discusses the question I had:

From what I’ve read in the interim between the EOs, the extreme vetting simply switched from the foreign consulates or wherever migrants go to obtain visas, to the Customs Enforcement here in the US. So, they can come in, but they may not get out of the airport interview and if they do, they will be under scrutiny.

Catching one of these perps with proof of a nefarious attempt will go a long way to prove the need for the temporary travel ban, which was intended to give us some breathing room before the extreme vetting at the point of departure was put in place.

The ICE briefing where La Raza moles were excluded may very well have been to just this end.

Yes, SteveH’s link addresses that in #15. That’s why Jay Sekulow says it will go to the USSC where it will be ruled in the President’s favor.

The wife who participated in the San Bernardino shootings came here legally. She was supposedly vetted.

I am astonished that the original judge ruled based on a comment Trump made on the campaign trail. That is ridiculous. If that is the case, then even this re-writing might be ignored.

Of course, all someone from one of those seven restricted countries has to do is get a passport from an unrestricted country. I’m sure they could easily get a forged one. I wouldn’t object if he banned travel from all Middle Eastern countries except Israel.

Why back down? Why are green card holders exempt?
Weren’t the San Bernardino and Boston terrorists green card holders?
