What is this all about? I've not followed the issue, but this would suggest that the FEC appointment process has completely broken down. The commissioners are split 3-3 between the parties. The president makes the appointments, which require Senate confirmation, but the gentleman's agreement has always been that each party gets to sign off on its representatives.
What happened? My guess would be that Obama refused to appoint Republicans acceptable to the GOP, and that the Senate Republicans therefore blocked any appointments. Is that correct?
Except you didn’t “merely inquire.” I thought his first comment was sarcasm and his second, while a bit snippy (or is it abrupt), wasn’t unprovoked.
Should have used the Seinfeld line, “That’s a shame”. LOL
The sarcasm is built in.
