Poetic justice. Mayor Rothschild is an idiot who metaphorically breast-feeds every criminal, perverse, and stupid person in Tucson. He let the homeless pod people take over downtown sidewalks and between the crime and the poop all over the place downtown was dying a little over a year ago. It was so bad that even the neogothic, hippy, free-love business owners infesting downtown started to panic.

I was under the impression that “carjacking” meant stealing the car with the driver in it. Wouldn’t that make this just a car theft?

https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/az/tucson/crime/#description

“For Tucson, we found that the violent crime rate is one of the highest in the nation, across communities of all sizes (both large and small).”

And thought it was bad in Anchorage....

I grew up in Tucson - left in the early 70’s and never looked back.

Only a blithering idiot would risk going to prison for a Prius.

Okay! It was just a joke! Put away those rubber chickens!

Uh... No. This can’t happen to anyone. In the state I live we can all carry concealed. I have never heard of a car jacking. I would shoot that car jacking SOB without hesitation. As would anyone else.
