Or they could send it to Chapultepec, where he was wounded -- and make Mexico pay for it.

There's a monument to Benedict Arnold's leg at Saratoga, so nobody could object to a monument to wherever Lee was wounded, especially if it's in another country.

Maybe they can donate it to Fortress Monroe, which Lee helped build when he was in the Army Core of Engineers.

If they really want to make a statement showing good vs bad, leave the statue of Lee and put an Obama statue beside it.
