Not a Macy's or Nordstrom's shopper myself. I must wonder how they expect to survive in a declining environment, which retail is generally, by alienating a segment of its market. Corporate America is generally stuck in the 1989-2016 era, under the Bush-Clinton-Obama era, when political correctness became the accepted cultural paradigm, the state ideology, and virtually the state religion. Why would a company like 84 Lumber, whose primary customers are white males and probably at least 2-1+ anti-illegal immigration, place a pro-immigration ad during the Super Bowl? Ditto for Budweiser, another company seriously dependent on white males, whose commercial was supposed to remind third and fourth generation descendants of European immigrants that their forbears were once despised.

However, mismanagement can occur in retail even with companies like Sears that never ventured into the political minefields. You can't fix stupid.

Macy’s is heading for bankruptcy, so they won’t be selling anything pretty soon…except for clearance items. They have fallen on hard times and the quality of their merchandise is poor.

If they do...here is a list of my talking points given to Nordstrom...some might be helpful. And if they drop her... BOYCOTT MACYS. Following is the list of talking points I gave to Michael Brooks, (King of Prussia Mall Nordstroms store manager) as well as Blake Nordstrom CEO and President of Nordstrom's ●You stated to the news that your decision to take Ivanka Trump's clothing out of your stores was based on "poor performance". ●I stated if that was the case, every single time you take a line out of your store it would be broadcast on the news. Since that is not the case, Pls be transparent and honest with your consumers: this is a politically driven move. ● Ivanka Trump's business is a very good model for women who want to go into the workforce. ●She is also an employer of many thousands of people (primarily women) who are paid an excellent wage and now you are potentially putting some of those individuals out of work. ●I stated that I found it hard to believe that in the last couple of months her clothes have done such poor performance that they had to be taken off the sales floor. Just a short time ago, her dresses were selling out after people saw her wearing them during the campaign and election cycle. ●Further I said that I felt that it was a mistake for any business to get involved in politics-that politics and religion should be left at home and not brought into the workplace. You run the risk of alienation of your consumers, employees, stockholders etc when you take this leap. ●I pointed out that their stocks have gone down today ●I shared that in the case of their King of Prussia store it is the largest store in Pennsylvania and in case they hadn't noticed Pennsylvania went red for the first time in many decades...based in this.. not their brightest move. ●Finally, I stated that I have been a loyal, dedicated Nordstrom Shopper since they came to King of Prussia. Prior to that I was a Bloomingdale's Shopper in both Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Once Nordstrom came, I stated I switched and never went back. I never go into other stores in the King of Prussia Mall and I even eat lunch at Nordstrom's on a fairly regular basis. I stated that my decision to leave as a consumer was not an easy one but one that I needed to make so as to stand by my principles. I went on to say if they put a wing on for Ivanka Trump clothes after this, I would not return because they broke trust and they showed that they were not honest with regards to their reason as to why they were discontinuing carrying Ivanka's line. I hope you will join me in calling your local Nordstrom store and speaking to the store manager;m as well as calling Nordatroms Corp Office at 206-628-2111 (Blake Nordstrom CEO/PRESIDENT) and carrying your message of disappointment in their choice to make a political statement against President Trump and his family. If you yourself are not a Nordstrom Shopper please pass this on to those you may know might be. Once again, we must hit them where it hurts - in the pocketbook. Thank you for reading my email. Forget their merchandise. It’s fine, I just bought a puffer coat there recently because I was freezing and couldn’t go home. However, try SERVICE. TheY don’t have 1/4 of the employees needed. No one around, and a long hellish line to pay. It is not worth shopping there.

Macy’s is a long time LGBT supporter, hates Trump, pro muslim, lets men in women’s dressing rooms and restrooms. There isn’t one thing to like about that store.
