Speaker Ryan should declare the House closed to all outside visitors and press. Speaker McConnell should do the same for the Senate. Both should impose sanctions against democrats as they are truly despicable enemies.

I’m convinced that Trump wants to make all citizens, including low-information citizens indoctrinated to hate him, better off than they were before. So I don’t know where Trump-hating liberals are coming from.
The title should make it clear that this was a scare tactic, not an actual assassination attempt. Having said that, I’ve seen nothing in the MSM about it. These kinds of attacks almost always ARE reported in the media, even when they involve threats to ordinary citizens.

I would wager it is connected to the Democratic leadership that found he was the Wikileaks source and that he was a liability worth destroying.

Rendered down, it's the Final Solution to the democrat/leftist Problem. Conservatives know this, and as leftist violence increases, the distaste for the solution does not decrease, but the conviction multiplies, that there is no other workable answer.
It's been 10 weeks. How long do we tolerate these attacks? Granted, the democrats are only trashing their own towns. Portland, DC, Chicago, SF. As long as their tantrum is restricted to stupid sanctuary cities, who cares? However, it's going to spread.

A hoax of this sort should carry a stiff penalty if the perpetrators are found, but this hardly qualifies as an “assassination attempt” if there was no lethal substance in the envelope.
