I vote for the first Obama scandal that happened during his transition before he was sworn in -- the attempted selling of his Senate seat.

If we knew during Obama's transition in 2008 what we know now about Obama, would we find it easy to believe that Obama was up to his eyeballs in the scheme to sell his Senate seat that got Rod Blagojevich and Jesse Jackson Jr. thrown in prison?

The MSM worked overtime to insulate Obama from the scandal by putting it all on Blagojevich. We now have eight years of direct observation of how Obama operates. Who today will still believe that Obama had nothing to do with that scandal?

The administration just before Obama’s was scandal-free...apart from the made-up scandal about Valerie Plame. Bush erred about the stockpiles of WMD in Iraq (probably because they had been moved to Syria during the months just before the invasion) and the feds should have moved faster in the case of Katrina (they underestimated the incompetence of the state and local governments to handle the aftermath), but neither of those involved any ethical wrongdoing on GWB’s part.
