Reid said he would use to nuclear option to force through Supreme Court nominees, too. The only reason he didn’t was because there were no vacancies when the Democrats controlled the Senate. We all know that if the Republicans refuse to go nuclear when Trump appoints a replacement for Scalia, it will be a case of unilateral disarmament.
