Nepotism leads to even worse corruption as the thin blue line is reinforced with protecting family and reputation.

They always think they can control junior until they can’t. No thank you.

When I moved out of there, pretty much every department required a four year degree or four years’ military. It might have been six years in some places. Nor were the written tests easy. Granted, some candidates could Obama their way through them, but any police job in New Jersey attracted a lot of applicants.
