Yet another “industry” ripe for disintermediation. Technical blogs and suchlike are going to replace the increasingly unaffordable mechanism of journal publications - and soon.

...

You’re right. Roy Spencer is another one who has continued his work on the Internet. Climate science should lead the transition due to the corruption in the field.

Very true, very sobering words from a dedicated scientist.

No one is allowed to deny one of the basic tenets of New Age dogma and remain in the fold.

1 climate change
2 Palestinians
3 gays homosexuals

Because there's nothing GAY about it.

Don’t look now, but “gay” in the sense you mean is obsolete. It is a relic of the Stone Age. The Flintstone Age.

Yes. This is a significant statement from a leading scientist. It reflects the perilous times we live in, that an honest scientist, even with the protections of tenure, cannot speak freely and be heard.

from link:

“It seems to me that we risk becoming like those people who lost the ability to see what a real bird in the real world is. We are too often like the emperor’s subjects, looking at a mechanical vision of academia and seeing it in the cold, mechanical and conventional ways we think about “excellence”. We measure a community of scholars in forms of published papers and league tables.”

“Why is this such a big deal? It is because we are just building a more refined mechanism, and an essentially false version of life.”

Part of the reason we are rapidly losing our culture is our unwillingness to reject the terminology of the evil ones. They give their illness and perversions cutesy names like “gay” and “progressive” to mask the reality.
