The community organizer is at it again....Obama's legacy will read in part: Barack Obama shot Israel in the back showing his true side....anti-Israel and anti-American.

It is good Cruz is doing this but we really need to leave the UN and kick the UN out of our country. Let them pass their crap resolutions in Geneva or some such place.

+1. The UN is a failed experiment that needs to justify its existence annually.

Sen. Cruz’ idea is a good start. The UN is a massive sinkhole for good money.
While I think that US participation in the UN is still more useful than withdrawal, we definitely need to reduce our spending and withhold funds until we get a proper accounting.
Once President Elect Trump and Ambassador designate Haley are in their respective offices, we should see a return to saner US policies toward the UN as a body and to its bureaucracy.

Toronto Ted was happy to let Hellary contribute the anti-Israel policy of Obama!
Lyin’ Ted’s politics are more in tune with his Canadian compatriots than with thr folks of Texas!

Who needs a United Nations when you can simply erase national borders entirely by issuing an H1-B visa to anyone with a pulse?

Call it The League of Free Nations So long as it didn't have unfortunate connotations with that misbegotten child of Woodrow Wilson "The League of Nations"

I suspect that it would only be a matter of time before any organization degenerated to another UN if they accepted muslim heavy countries like France. I think it would be best for the US to just deal with other countries on a one on one basis as needed.

Question - where we he and Rand Paul when it was time to filibuster the Fake News act? Seriously did either of them say anything about it?

My point is who sets the objective criteria to assess “effectiveness and results?”
I’m not disagreeing with you, just showing where there would be a massive hole of accountability to drive a truck through.

I’ve been saying it for days- We don’t just need to quit funding the UN but rather take that money ($3 BILLION per year) and give that money to Israel to help them build further settlements- and turn the UN building into housing for Jews
