Plenty on our tree. 150+ We have accumulated a lot of ornaments over the years — some religious, some not so — but lots of nice memories with each one.

But I guess that that is not the point of this article. :)

I never understood the need to go out in November and catch pneumonia putting up Christmas decorations, just so I could catch Pneumonia in January taking them down!

There’s a veritable riot of Christmas lights festooning the houses in my area this year, compared to recent years with about half not decorating at all. I think the election is behind it.

Dennis should travel to south Orange County, CA. Plenty of lights, including several “Griswold” type displays.

Also, we walked along the canal in Naples, CA this weekend and the lights were as awesome as always!

More older boomers not so motivated any more. Burnout on the commercialism of Christmas. Lower percentage of believers. Less outdoor focus. Who knows...
