Judge Pryor is 54y/o. I thought he was maybe 36.
And that, along with his Goldman Sachs ties, makes me leery of Cruz.
I just asked a question related to the topic, not implying anything about your post or twisting your words.
Lee said he wasn’t interested.
If we could believe that the pure tiresomeness of the man would only shorten the lives of the libs on the court, I'd be for it. His whiny proclamations would probably kill everyone.
Thats what they said about womens suffrage - no one listened .

There are certain people from the Female AND Male persuasion that I get a kick out of reminding them that Blacks had the vote before Women.
RE: Thankfully, that worthless turd isnt even on Trumps list. Considering Scruze would have been far worse than making Romney SoS
Other than running against Trump for the Presidency ( which Cruz declared his candidacy first ), why is he a worthless turd?
RE: And that, along with his Goldman Sachs ties, makes me leery of Cruz.
Are you similarly leery of the other nominated Goldman Sachers on Trump’s team?
Yes. Not dead set opposed but definitely leery.
Bill Pryor is a good conservative. He was a fine AG in Alabama. I always thought he would be a great Justice. A lot like Jeff Sessions in manner and beliefs.
“Other than running against Trump for the Presidency ( which Cruz declared his candidacy first ), why is he a worthless turd?”
O.K., for the last time. Initially, I was all in for a Trump/Cruz ticket, but it became abundantly clear that Cruz would use any “device,” dishonest or not, to win. The $hit he pulled in Iowa was just the first of many examples of a man who was willing to operate like the DemoRATs do to accomplish his personal goals. Then there’s the matter of his “citizenship” wherein he’s really no different than Obola. And finally, there’s the business of where his wife works and her affiliation with the CFR. So no thanks Ted, and I truly hope the good folks of Texas vote you out of office in two years. I would not trust him to be in any public office north of a men’s room attendant. Sorry, but that’s just how I see it. He has no integrity!
RE: The $hit he pulled in Iowa was just the first of many examples of a man who was willing to operate like the DemoRATs do to accomplish his personal goals
I do not want to debate pass things with you, but honestly, what happened in Iowa was started by CNN and did NOTHING to change the results then. Cruz apologized to Ben Carson for it ( and Carson had a role to play in that when he gave the impression that he was going back to Florida instead of campaigning in New Hampshire, the next state in the primaries ).
RE: . Then theres the matter of his citizenship wherein hes really no different than Obola.
1) Cruz cannot be blamed for the circumstances under which he was born.
2) The matter was litigated OPENLY in several states and every single court declared him eligible.
Good men from both sides of the aisle disagree on this issue. Why call Cruz a worthless turd for standing on the other side of the issue?
RE: And finally, theres the business of where his wife works and her affiliation with the CFR.
Heidi is an international investment banker who was invited to be part of a working group at the Council on Foreign Relations which reviewed a notorious 2005 paper called Building a North American Community which was largely authored by Robert Pastor and is the presumed origin of the idea of the North American Union, though Pastor has repeatedly denied that it contains anything like that.
Although the proposals in the paper are a mild call for general hemispheric economic cooperation with no formal structure, the conspiracy-inclined have interpreted it as a sinister conspiracy to destroy American sovereignty and combine us into a single union with Canada and Mexico.
They are inherently suspicious of the Council on Foreign Relations, despite its repeated claims to be politically neutral and solely interested in studying issues objectively. It has become a lynchpin in globalist conspiracy theories and anything associated with it immediately looks more sinister in some eyes.
The paper is basically benign, pointing to ways that the nations of North America could work together through free markets and reducing trade barriers to spread more success and raise up the economies of the poorer countries.
In its concluding section it says:
North America is different from other regions of the world and must find its own cooperative route forward. A new North American community should rely more on the market and less on bureaucracy, more on pragmatic solutions to shared problems than on grand schemes of confederation or union, such as those in Europe. We must maintain respect for each others national sovereignty.
Which certainly doesnt sound all that terrible, what with acknowledging how different North America is from Europe, promoting market solutions instead of government and explicitly rejecting the idea of a confederation or union while promoting respect for national sovereignty. Its almost like the conspiracy theorists never read the document, or gave up after the title and wrote a fantasy version in their heads based solely on the title and their obsession with the CFR.
All the above complaints that you have against Cruz IGNORE his past record as a fighter for conservative causes in Texas where he defended our Second Amendment Rights in the courts as well as his being in the forefront to defund Oabmacare up to and including fighting to shut down the government to achieve it.
Your arguments above do nothing to convince me of his being a worthless turd.
Souter was supported by Rudman and other NE Republicans. That was the source of the problem.
I agree, no more Ivy League groupthink Justice appointments, at this point I want some non lawyers, allowed, on the Supreme Court. common .sense not those stuck on prescient.
That’s why they make Fords and Chevys. You are free to believe anything you want, even if it really isn’t true.
What about Senator Tom Cotton? Young, intelligent and replaced by a Republican Governor?
He's not on "The List". He was still a presidential candidate when Trump published "The List". Trump promised to nominate from "The List" to replace Scalia. I want Trump to keep the habit of honoring his promises. The Notorious RBG can't be long for this world ... maybe Cruz can replace her. Meanwhile, he has work to do in the Senate.
RE: Thats why they make Fords and Chevys. You are free to believe anything you want, even if it really isnt true.
Show me with good sources and evidence why they aren’t true and maybe I’ll believe you but not until.
“Show me with good sources and evidence why they arent true and maybe Ill believe you but not until.”
Look, it’s really quite simple, I don’t like Cruz! And the mere thought of having to listen to that nasal-tounged pseudo-conservative would be worse than fingernails on a blackboard. As for sources, nah, I wouldn’t take the time. I understand you like him. Good, doesn’t mean I have to, and I don’t really have have a reason, although I have many that I think are valid. Enjoy your day!
RE: Look, its really quite simple, I dont like Cruz!
Oh I see, I don’t like Cruz, therefore I choose to believe every fake accusations about him.
I bet you also believe Trump’s insinuation that his father was involved in the assassination of JFK...
